Curriculum & Learning

Since September 2008 we have following the nationally approved Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). The EYFS sets the standards for Learning, Development and care for children from birth to five.

The EYFS is made up of six areas of Learning and Development. All areas of Learning and Development are connected to one another and are equally important. All areas of Learning and Development are underpinned by the Principles of the EYFS.

The Areas of Learning and Development are:

* Personal, social and emotional development

* Knowledge and understanding of the world

* Communication, language and literacy

* Physical development

* Problem solving, reasoning and numeracy
